Kia Reversing Sensors

PARKPRO front parking sensors are a leader in their class, with front parking sensor technology. PARKPRO front parking sensors have reached a new level of high accuracy. Front parking sensors work similar to reverse parking sensors. Front parking sensors are turned on when the car is switched on.

An LED display displays the distance a vehicle or object, is from your vehicle. As you get closer to the object the lights on the display start to light up in succession, and when you are 1 foot away from an object a single beep is heard to warn you to stop. Front park sensors help judge the distance an object is from the car.

Front parking sensors are an aid while parking at low speeds. Front parking sensors fitted to your car at your home or office, and can be fitted to most vehicles including Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Holden, Subaru, Peugeot, Suzuki, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Subaru, Mazda, VW, Mitsubishi and many more.

We can also colour code the front parking sensors to suit your car. Front parking sensors can be fitted to most vehicles with plastic bumper bars.
Front parking sensors are only an aid, you must use caution while parking.

PARKPRO are Melbourne’s Leaders in onsite installation of quality OEM front parking sensors.

How do reversing sensors work?

PARKPRO rear parking sensors measure the distance to nearby objects via sensors located in the front and/or rear of the bumper bar.

The sensors emit acoustic pulses, with a control unit measuring the return interval of each reflected signal and calculating object distances. The system in turns warns the driver with an audible tone, indicating the object distance, with faster tones indicating closer proximity and a continuous tone indicating a minimal pre-defined distance.

Rear sensors are activated when reverse gear is selected and deactivated as soon as any other gear is selected. Front sensors are activated once the vehicle is started and deactivated automatically when the vehicle reaches a pre-determined speed — to avoid subsequent nuisance warnings.

All PARKPRO front and rear parking sensor kits have three separate bezels that can be interchanged with the parking sensors to change the angle of the sensor. The advantage with this is every installation can be custom fitted to suit different angled and shaped bumper bars for a perfect fitment and look.

PARKPRO reversing sensors have been fitted to over 1000’s of vehicles including Holden parking sensors, Ford reversing sensors, Mitsubishi rear parking sensors etc…

The PARKPRO parking sensor kits have been designed to suit all makes and models and are feature rich. Our front sensor system has a built in GPS module allowing the system to only work under 15kph eliminating unwanted false alerts whilst driving at higher speeds. This system is exclusive to PARKPRO and no other front parking sensor system compares.

The other advantage of the PARKPRO parking sensors is the specifically designed sensor heads. Each sensor has a rubber ring between the actual sensor head and the outer sensor head ring. This was designed to eliminate false alerts and inaccurate readings. Most other brands do not have this feature and once the parking sensors are painted in can ‘bridge’ the two together creating the inner sensor head to not vibrate freely which will result in false and inaccurate readings.

PARKPRO covers all suburbs of Melbourne for onsite installations of Rear Parking Sensors, Front Parking Sensors, Reversing Sensors and Reversing Cameras.

Toyota Reversing Sensors

WHY CHOOSE PARKPRO?

The PARKPRO front parking sensor system is the only GPS based system in Australia and is exclusive to PARKPRO. This system is the most advanced in the world and is covered by an industry leading 6 year warranty.

All PARKPRO parking systems, whether they utilise 2 or 4 sensor heads, are free from the ‘blind spots’ typically found in low quality sensor kits with narrow detection zones.

PARKPRO sensor heads have 160° horizontal and 70° vertical detection zones. Multiply this by 4 and the coverage is the best in the world. The ability to detect a 30mm pole is the industry standard.

Typically, other brands do not even compare. Due to their low cost designs most other parking sensors can only offer 90° wide detection zones therefore creating numerous ‘Blind spots’ behind the vehicle. Your child might be playing in one of these blind spots!

PARKPRO sensors stand for quality and cheaper brands don’t compare.

Price: $369 installed

Special: Combine front and rear sensor system for only $599 and save!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The PARKPRO front sensor system is activated once the vehicle is started. Unlike other front sensor systems the PARKPRO front sensor system is GPS based and only works under 15kph eliminating any false alerts whilst driving at higher speeds.

The front system works in the same fashion as the rear sensor system and will give out a sequence of audible beeps via a hidden speaker until a continuous tone is heard indicating the vehicle is now within 30cm of the obstacle.

With PARKPRO’s VST technology the front system will stop working after three seconds and no movement detected eliminating unwanted continual audible alerts.

An optional LED display is also available for visual and audible warnings.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

When reverse gear is engaged the system will emit a one second audible tone after completing a self-diagnostic check. If an object is detected a sequence of beeps via a hidden audible speaker will get faster until a continuous tone is heard indicating the vehicle is now within 30cm of the obstacle.

If your vehicle is fitted with a tow bar or rear mounted spare wheel the system can be programmed to ‘ignore’ these and work as normal. A factory style ‘mute’ switch is also installed for use when towing.

Reversing Sensors

If you wonder whether you need reversing sensors or not, the answer is yes. Reversing sensors allow you to park safely in every small place without having to worry about the circumstances. The system is designed in order to alert you of various parked cars and other objects. It can also detect the presence of low walls and children.

Reversing sensors can help you detect every object that is out of your vision.

The main benefit of reversing sensors consists in the fact that it will be activated as soon as you start parking your car. When your car will be engaged in reverse gear, the reversing sensors will be activated. It is like having an extra pair of eyes right on your back. Every potential collision can thus be avoided; this is the main reason why you should rush into buying some parking detectors for your car. Reversing sensors can help every driver to park with ease without having to worry about car accidents while parking.

Reversing sensors are to be considered as one of the most important parts of your car because it can prevent you from getting into trouble. This device will receive a signal and it will respond in a particular manner in order to alert the driver. Reversing sensors were designed in order to help you park your beloved car even in the most crowded and congested areas in and around town. You will not have to worry about your safety anymore because the PARKPRO reversing sensors are here to help you improve your driving experience.

Reversing Cameras

Benefits of Rear Cameras on Your Vehicle

Vehicle reversing cameras not only save money by reducing minor accidents, they also save lives by giving drivers increased visibility behind their vehicles. This allows drivers to be more aware of particularly children and small animals in their vicinity.

What is a reversing camera?

A reversing camera is a CCTV (closed circuit TV) camera that is mounted on the rear of the vehicle, with a viewing screen mounted on the dash. This allows the drivers to clearly see what is behind them and in their blind spot without having to turn around to look.

Reversing cameras are important because they maintain your control and visibility. When you drive a vehicle forward, you can at least see everything in front of your windscreen. But when reversing a vehicle, your vision is restricted immediately behind you and in the blind spot on the rear passenger side.

How can it save money?

While some people may master reverse parking shortly after learning to drive, it remains a challenge for many. Judging the distance between your car and the car behind you is a constant challenge, even after having a licence for years. The number of minor collisions caused by driver error in such situations is enough to keep panel beaters busy across Australia, and car insurance premiums higher than they might otherwise be.

By investing in a reversing camera, you should greatly reduce the likelihood of being involved in one of these minor collisions, with the result that your insurance premiums will remain affordable. You may even get a discount for adding such a safety feature.

How can it save lives?

Every year, fatal accidents occur when small children are tragically run over by their own parents reversing their cars out of their garages. Those children are too young to know any better and their parents, sadly, don’t see them because of their restricted vision when reversing. Also, pets often run behind reversing cars without the driver noticing.

Having a CCTV camera mounted on the rear of your car will allow you to reverse with confidence, knowing there are no children or animals hiding behind or under the vehicle. It will also giving you adequate time to brake if they were to run out into the driveway unexpectedly.

What are the other benefits?

Other benefits of a reversing camera include that it makes it much easier to hook up a trailer or caravan when there’s no one available to guide you.

It is also a much more ergonomically-friendly way to drive. Reversing in the normal manner requires you to turn in your seat and crane your neck in an attempt to see what is behind you, which can be very uncomfortable. A reversing camera allows you to remain facing forwards, with your hands firmly on the wheel.

A further benefit is that if another driver runs into you while the camera is switched on, you will have video evidence for your insurance company, or for the police if the driver does not remain at the scene.
